A different kind of chaperone

This shoot would total the amount to FIVE with Steve Plant (6th shoot images with Auburn rose to follow). As always the shoot was great, having worked with Steve many times I instantly felt comfortable and the shoot had been very well planned regarding locations.  I think I’ve only ever worked indoors with Steve once, and that was for an hour – it’s quite clear his speciality is natural models within nature, and he does not give himself enough credit.

This time we had a little friend come a long with us called Mickey.  Mickey is a rescue dog adopted by Steve about a couple months ago now, this shoot was the first time I had met him and he is quite timid at first, but soon got involved with the shoot:

Steve and his family are the perfect people to adopt a rescue animal. The other week when we were shooting I could already notice a huge improvement with Mickey! I hope Steve always brings him along to shoots and if you plan to shoot with Steve make sure you ask, he is really no trouble (and Mickey is well behaved too!)

Here are some images created by Steve and I:

Finally, of course, we have some outtakes:

Summer

I had been looking forward to shooting with Sara ever since I applied for the casting; I don’t have many beauty shots so all my fingers and toes were crossed that I’d get the job!

Working with Sara, and the incredible Clare, was just a dream come true.  The shoot flowed (as well as the many snacks brought by Sara) and after introductions were made, mainly for my benefit as Sara and Clare seem to be an extremely capable team, we all got on like a house on fire.  I am absolutely thrilled to be doing all four seasons, and jumped for joy when I received the offer (well, there was definitely a gasp as I remember going through customs in Mallorca and telling my friend excitedly)
Sara is an extremely capable photographer. Her skill set appears to be unlimited as she breezed through different set ups, reaching incredible results from the back of the camera.  I am overjoyed we will have more magic to create together.  I was incredibly impressed with the professional attitude, even more so by wonderful communications, clear ideas and bloody brilliant results. I most definitely recommend Sara.
Clare, AKA Harry Jon, is one of the most talented MUAs I have ever come across, from hair to make-up I can’t even begin to imagine where her limitations are.  After having two bits of wig on my hair I definitely did wonder bat the flipping ‘eck I was going to look like, but when you see what is achieved I am absolutely certain you will agree that this Lady’s work is astonishing.  If you have an idea (and quite literally no matter how extreme) then book Harry Jon ,  you will not be disappointed.
Here are a few images, more to come:

July Update

A few weeks ago I had a shoot booked with the lovely Snapshots77, the shoot was set up in his very comfortable and spacious home studio. I would most definitely recommend him to anybody as I felt totally at ease as soon as I walked in the door, food and beverages were offered in abundance and to top it all off the picture swere bloody fantastic!

Stu used to be a model which makes him more able to understand what it’s like in front of the camera, and also what information is required when communicating and organising the shoot.  It was definitely a lot more relaxed, but we also got through a lot of sets.
Here are a few samples from the shoot:

This is another image from the fabulous Britalicus, I am looking forward to our second shoot more and more:

This is an image published in H&E magazine January 2012 that i totally forgot to blog (whoopsie):
